To effectively retain large amounts of water and nutrients in the soil, special products are used - superabsorbents or hydrogels. Superabsorbent is introduced into the soil in dry form (in the form of dry granules), and hydrogel - in a moist (in the form of a superabsorbent dissolved in water).

Superabsorbent is a biodegradable polymer in the form of granules, which is introduced into the soil to collect and retain a volume of water 400 times greater than the biopolymer's own weight.

Superabsorbent itself does not contain fertilizers, but swelling, it can retain up to 40% of fertilizer. In this case, it easily gives accumulated water and nutrients to plants. The plant first consumes available moisture from the soil, and then uses the water found in the superabsorbent granules.
