SAP NURSERIES

The SAP Group was established in 1971 in South Allenwood, Co. Kildare by Tom Walsh, Jerry O’Reilly, John Joe Costin and Pat Tattan.  The local village was the basis of the name SAP (South Allenwood Plantations).  At this time, the vast majority of plant and shrub material was imported and there were no significant commercial nurseries.  They established the business to produce containerised shrubs and herbaceous plants for sale to landscape contractors and garden centres.SAP was the first Irish Nursery to earn the right to display the Bord Bia Origin Ireland, Logo on our plants.  We are very proud of our Irish heritage and will continue to actively promote the Origin Logo.
